How to be creative when you have a demanding university schedule

1. Knitting or crochet during class

If you are like me and are capable of multitasking; knitting or crocheting during class is a great way to keep your hands and your mind occupied at the same time. I really struggle to sit still and listen in classes, and I've found that since I started being "a granny" in class, I retain so much more information!

2. Carry around a diary and jot down ideas in the few minutes before class starts

Every creative person needs a diary. And everyone has those few minutes while waiting for a friend to pitch up, or while waiting for a lecturer to arrive at a class. Getting your ideas down in a book (even in scribbles) is a wonderful way to keep the creative juices flowing.

3. Get a Pinterest account

Yes, this is quite the fad, but it is so for a reason. Pinterest is a community of ideas and creativity, and you can do it on the go with your cellphone. "Repin" things and come back to them later when you have time. There are thousands of craft ideas waiting to be stored- so that next time you have some time to do something crafty, your ideas are all in one place and you don't waste time trying to figure out what to do.
